- The City of Los Angeles has approved a year-long moratorium on new fast food restaurants in the mostly poor area of South Los Angeles. Three out of every four restaurants in the 32-square-mile area are estimated to be fast food eateries.
- Chris Brown is selling chicle. A revamped version of his song "Forever" will be used as a jingle for Wrigley's Doublemint chewing gum.
- LSU economist Naci H. Mocan has found that out of nearly 100,000 people in 53 countries, women are the most vengeful, followed by the elderly, the poor, and those who live in crime-ridden areas. Previously, "violence interrupters" in Chicago. (via Big Contrarian)
